This is for the #DevelopedFLV contest NOTE : There are Two entries under this account as my Girlfriend and I share a account here on ELR.
This started out as a way for me to test Flavorah Ice. As far as that goes 0.25 doesn't seem to do a whole lot, I think i feel a very slight cooling on my tongue, nothing like Koolada or WS-23 and no mint or menthol taste.
I was surprised how good this turned out, I was working on another recpie for #DevelopedFLV contest, but this one almost needs no tweaking. It's my take on a tropical mango, orange smoothie. Only thing I may try to change if I have time is bumping the Ice to 0.75 to see how much more cooling that brings.
Smoothie Base/ Greek Yogurt - these two work together to create the base for this mix. Smoothie Base is pretty good on ita own I do get a lemon note and a small Banana note from this, it has a some what chalky mouth feel to me and not much sour. I added the Greek yogurt to help with a more creamy mouth feel and to bring a sour note to the mix.
Blood Orange - this is a good Orange not quite Juice and definitely not candy i really don't get any peel from it either. I used this because there is already a Citrus note to the smoothie base and they work well together.
Mango - if I'm making something tropical 99.9% of the time its going to get some FLV Mango. This is the best and most realistic Mango I have ever had.
ICE - like I said this recpie was to test this flavor. I wanted to bring a little cooling to the mix to make it more of an experience, then just a flavor. At 0.25 this brings a very slight cooling at the end. This could probaly be turned up a bit to bring more cooling if thats your thing.
Sweetness - this is my preferred sweetener, it has no after taste like I get from Super Sweet. Just wanted to bring a little more sweetest the mix this could be omitted or turned up depending on your preference.
I think that Banana or Guanabana could be great additions to this mix as there is a very slight Banana note in the Smoothie Base.
This has turned out really good after two days. It may even get better if I can put it down and let it steep longer.
